ADI's ADG5208F and ADG5209F-8: 1 and dual 4: 1 analog multiplexers provide overvoltage protection up to −55V and + 55V. The ADG5208F switches one of the eight inputs to a common output, and the ADG5209F switches one of the four differential inputs to a common differential output. The EN input on both devices enables or disables the device. When switched on, each channel has the same conductivity in both directions and provides an input signal range that extends to the power supply. The digital inputs are compatible with 3V logic inputs over the entire operating power range. When there is no power, the switch remains open and the switch input is in a high impedance state to provide fault protection. Under normal operating conditions, if the analog input signal level on any Sx pin exceeds the VDD or VSS threshold voltage VT, the switch will be turned off and the drain pin will be pulled to the excess supply voltage. The ADG5208F and ADG5209F both block input signal levels up to + 55V or −55V with respect to ground, with or without power. The low capacitance and charge injection of the ADG5208F and ADG5209F switches make them ideal solutions for data acquisition and sample-and-hold applications that require low glitches and rapid set-up, such as analog input / output modules, process control / distributed control systems, data acquisition , Instrumentation, avionics, automatic test equipment, communication systems and relay replacement.
