Analog Devices - Digital isolator enables seamless data transfer

Technology Cover
Date de Parution: 2021-09-27, Analog Devices Inc.

ADI has introduced the first in a new series of iCoupler digital isolators, which provide a total bandwidth of 10 gigabits per second. The ADN4624 digital isolator provides four 2.5Gbps channels, enabling seamless data transmission in the electrical field, and supporting new system architectures in the instrumentation, digital health, and smart industries. The new digital isolator simplifies the design and is easy to integrate isolation to ensure safety or data integrity. The device is a compact solution that meets medical standards and reliably isolates high-fidelity video and imaging links, precision analog front ends, and serial interconnects, as an option for cumbersome and dedicated fiber optic solutions.

The device provides simplified connections, strong isolation, and data integrity in harsh environments. The new digital isolator provides a total bandwidth of up to 10Gbps in a single small-size device, provides full-speed direct isolation of high-speed serial LVDS or CML, and eliminates the complexity of de-serialization. The device supports precision timing with ultra-low jitter to achieve complete ADC performance and resolution, including precision ADC sampling clocks.
