Technology Cover
Date de Parution: 2023-01-03, Analog Devices Inc.

The AD9961/AD9963 is a pin-compatible, 10/12-bit, low-power MxFE converter that provides two ADC channels with sampling rates of 100 MSPS and two DAC channels with sampling rates of 170 MSPS. These converters are optimized for sending and receiving signal paths that require low power and low cost communication systems. Digital interface provides flexible clock options. Transmission is configurable for 1 x, 2 x, 4 x, and 8 x interpolation.

The receiving path has a bypassable 2 x extraction low-pass filter. AD9961 and AD9963 have five auxiliary analog channels. Three are the inputs to the 12-bit ADC. By enabling a 10-bit dac, two of the inputs can be configured as outputs. The other two channels are dedicated outputs for two separate 12-bit Dacs. The AD9961/AD9963's highly integrated features, small size, and low power consumption make them ideal for portable and low power applications.
