Honeywell - Hall-effect rotary position sensors measure angles in harsh environments (RTY Series)

Technology Cover
Date de Parution: 2015-09-24, Honeywell Sensing and Productivity Solutions
Honeywell's RTY series of Hall-effect rotary position sensors are cost-effective and provide angle monitoring in harsh transportation and industrial applications. These devices use magnetically biased Hall-effect integrated circuits (ICs) to sense the rotary motion of the actuator shaft over a set operating range. Rotation of the actuator shaft changes the position of the magnet relative to the IC. The resulting change in magnetic flux density is converted into a linear output. The IC is sealed in a rugged IP67-certified package with regulation and protection circuits and permanent magnets to ensure durability in most harsh environments.
