    Cliff Electronics has added a new Cat5e RJ45 feed-through connector to its FT series, offering a compatible, secure, clip-in locking XLR type plug holder to facilitate the connection of RJ45 plugs (not provided) or cable assemblies. The connector fits industry standard XLR connector 24mm diameter panel cutout.

   The socket is rated Cat5e and is suitable for fast Ethernet (10/100) and Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000) data communication. The new Cliff RJ45 FT jack is a rugged nickel-plated die-cast zinc metal construction that offers IP65 protection, dust and waterproof connectors for rugged applications, and comes with an integrated dust cover that provides continuous protection when not in use.

    Cliff's female RJ45 feed-through Ethernet sockets are widely used in IT systems, consumer and audio/broadcast products and meet the wiring standards defined by FCC Rules Part 68 using 8P8C connectors, typically mounted directly on equipment or I/O patch panels. The all-metal design reduces the impact of electromagnetic interference, has A dielectric strength of 1K VDC, A frequency range of 1-100mhz, A contact rated voltage of 1.5A/50V, A life of more than 1000 matching cycles, and an operating temperature range of -30℃ to +80℃.
