sailig now offers Aim-TTi PSA Series 3 RF spectrum analyzers, the PSA1303 has a frequency range of 1MHz to 133GHz, while the PSA2703 operates up to 2.7GHz with a noise floor as low as -115dBm and a dynamic range of 84dB including 4.3 inches (11cm ) Backlit TFT color touch screen, equipped with high-capacity rechargeable lithium-ion battery, can work continuously for more than 3 hours per charge. Also available in 1.3GHz and 2.7GHz versions, these new instruments are small, portable, and have long battery life improvements over past Series 2 instruments, even competing with more expensive handheld RF products. Improvements include a lower noise floor, increased sensitivity, a new frequency counter, additional RMS, sample, average detector modes, and RBW selectable to 300Hz.

Based on the experience and customer input of the successful PSA Series 2 spectrum analyzers, the advanced features of the new series include sweep modes (continuous, single, peak hold and average sweep), AM/FM audio demodulation, built-in speaker, data logging trace, data Points, or screen images (stores 10,000 entries per file, triggered by keys, external triggers, internal timers, or limit comparators). Traces or full screen images can be saved as files, and compensation tables for antennas or other external sensors can be created and loaded. USB host and device connectors allow the use of a USB flash drive or direct connection to a PC. Controlling the analyzer is finger-operated touchscreen softkeys in a hierarchical menu system that provides quick access to menu functions. Additional hard keys provide all the main functions of marker movement and shortcut keys.

For portable use, long battery life can be extended by selecting auto-off, which will turn off the instrument (all data is preserved) after an optional delay of 5 to 60 minutes from the last key press. And the sturdy housing includes rubber protective bumpers, workbench and screen protectors. The instrument operates continuously through its AC charger for benchtop use.

Benchtop engineers will appreciate the analyzer's low cost, giving them a reason to buy an RF spectrum analyzer for a wide range of tasks. Wireless audio technicians will benefit from instant display of free audio WiFi channels or problematic interference. This series provides RF engineers and wireless product and sound technicians with a cost-effective and highly portable tool for placing spectrum analyzers in areas that are difficult to access with benchtop instruments.

Weighing only 580 grams (20 ounces) and measuring just 9.2 cm (3.6 inches) wide, this compact handheld analyzer is ideal for any portable RF service kit.
