ProPhotonix Limited has added a new 375nm laser to its line of photonic laser modules. The company has developed this novel ULTRAVIOLET photon laser module to meet the growing interest in ULTRAVIOLET lasers, including UV curing and particle measurement applications. As a laser diode distributor and laser module manufacturer, it offers the latest laser diode technology.

The laser is a 375nm laser that provides power levels of up to 70mW, making it ideal for UV-curable applications that require rapid curing by very focused UV light. 3D printing applications, many of which use 405nm lasers, may benefit from this compact 375nm laser. The shorter wavelength allows the resin to be insensitive to light, thus reducing waste, and the resin needs to be protected from ambient light to prevent accidental curing. Lasers can also elevate particle analysis applications to different levels with shorter wavelengths to detect and measure smaller particles.

The laser module is compact, reliable and configurable to handle a wide range of applications. Now, the platform offers adjustable optics and enhanced sights options as the final product, the platform offers easy integration or is an ideal evaluation product if the user needs to validate laser technology in the system. If the application has more detailed requirements, the company can collaborate to develop custom laser modules.

"We believe that the new 375nm wavelength,  combined with the reliability and configurability of the Photon laser platform,  provides an immediate solution for oems to integrate or evaluate UV lasers into their systems and improve their system  performance. We are excited to add this new UV option to the Photon Laser platform."Jeremy Lane, managing director of ProPhotonix UK, said
